PRESENTATION
Inspired by Julio Cortázar's poem, “Black and Ten” is a series of medium format paintings that research the expressive capacities of the color black.
I mix organic, mineral, the elements and various displays of these elements.
My work tends to connect the world to beings and things, to form a whole, an entirety.
All nature is subject to transformation, so is all research.
"In creation I am inspired by the desire to transform, confront and mix materials. I sew the canvas to strengthen my presence, a gesture of personal emotion."
The traces… in memory, which create configurations, remains, moments lived, places frequented, faces encountered. Then the trace as a drawn line, as a line, as a chromatic element or a plastic fragment. Accentuate the interior experience of the lived world. Just like the material of memories. All nature is subject to transformation, so is all research.
